We headed from Brugge to Haarlem and stayed overnight at at Youth Hostel called Stay Ok. We had 4 beds and the boys slept on the top bunk. Haarlem is a 14th Century town very pretty cobblestone roads. All towns have a main square and there is this amazing church in the middle of it. The people here all ride bikes and there were bike racks all stacked up 4 high in the street. There was 100
's of bikes outside Haarlem railway Station. We had lovely pizzas at Haarlem for dinner.
We went into Amsterdam The next morning. We drove to the Park and Ride at World Fashion Square where there are amazing shops of clothing - not open to the public. We caught the tram no 1 from the tram stop and got off a few blocks from the heinkenien Experience(Brewery) that Grahame so wanted to go to.
After the Beer experience we got the small canal boat towards the main station of Masterdam. we got off and walked the streets. The place was packed with people going in every direction. WE had chips in a main square . we walked through the lane ways and the streets are all done out in the colour of Orange for the Dutch Soccer team. They are playing in the European World Cup which starts this week here.
We eventually found the no 1 trams and caught it back to where we parked. Everyone here speaks English , so it is much easier to ask questions.
We drove south to the town called "The Hague" or Dee Haag. This is where the International War Court is.We stayed in a youth hostel again called Stay ok.
At The Hague, we walked the streets and found Chinatown,so it was CHinese for dinner.Lovely fresh vegetables is something we all needed.
Note: Not For Children......
On our walk back Grahame managed to find the Red light district. Let me say no more than Kieran and Tristan got an eyeful of lovely ladies sitting in the windows.
The next day we packed our bags and went to the Madurodam miniaturize world and walked around for the morning. We lost both the boys and just waited for them to find us. There were lots of school children there from year 3 and 4 learning about AMsterdam and Holland. It is an interactive park that you scan the card and you here all about the Holland and what this country does.

After there we headed to the beach called Scheveningen.

We walked the beach and looked out to the sea.
We finally headed off towards Germany....via Duisburg and stayed in Dusseldforf for the night. Would you believe the hotel was right next door to a Mc Donalds. Kieran and Tristan enjoyed that !!!
