Bolzano to Tolmezzo (Dolomite Mountains)

Well we left Bolzano before 9am ( miracle) after Italy best England in the footy last night and the partying was happening car horns blowing people cheering , Bolzano was a great place to be last night . We drove to tires and to canazeu and took the mountain road to Cortina . We stopped at belvedere col rodella sass porodoi and got the gondola up the mountain . The view of the town canazei was stunning . Even now we have done 30 bends up the mountains all the time cyclists and motorbikes and busses everywhere ! Our lovely uncle Tony Daly would love to be on his motorbike here and ride the bends !!! We had a quick lunch in the town called Cortina which was where the winter Olympics were a few years ago . a few trips along the way looking for trout in the lakes , rivers . We stopped at the Dam at Auronzo di cadore then continued onto a town called laggio do Vigo di cadore for an afternoon drink at 4.45pm just before a storm set in and dumped heaps of rain Then
Our little peugot thought it was a rally car back up the mountain s bends and hairpins and we got to 1800 m to find us higher than the rainbow . . Then on decent again we came across a farmer and his sheep and donkeys on the road . Am amazing sight the road covered in sheep !!!! Then we hrp on driving till we settled in Tolmezzo at Al Benevenuto.
